CHRI creates housing options for people
with developmental disabilities. Services
include:
- Partnerships with developers to increase the stock of affordable housing opportunities.
- Assist developers with funding applications as needed.
- Prepare data and other needed information.
- Educate housing groups and government officials about the housing needs of individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Advocate for the development of housing that is affordable to our clients.
- Assist our clients and their families in fulfilling the dream of homeownership.
Individual
Housing Assistance
Our Housing Resource Coordinator works
one-on-one with individuals to ensure that their affordable housing
needs are met. These
services include:
- Assistance with accessing subsidized housing authority waitlists.
- Assist with referrals to appropriate and affordable housing.
- Resolving housing-related issues.
The
Housing Resources Coordinator provides Housing Advocacy Service especially for Regional
Center of Orange County (RCOC) consumers applying for or receiving
rental assistance through the HUD Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher
Program. Referrals to
the CHRI Housing Resources Coordinator come from the RCOC consumers,
their RCOC Service Coordinators, family, or other caseworkers and
caregivers. To contact
